We didn’t listen
Mother Earth
She warned us
But we continued our ways
She needed to breathe
And just like that . . .
The world stopped
No traffic
Factories closed
Fewer planes took off
People stayed home
Skies turned blue
Canals became clear
Animals roamed on Main Street
people died
Sadness, worry, fear
AND
Hope, Ingenuity, Kindness
This too shall pass
And
We will get through this TOGETHER
