Interesting Fitness Concept

While stopped at a light I looked over and read the name of a business: “Nude Fitness and Beauty” “Learn to love your body”. The windows were all blacked out. Interesting I thought.

My mind began a trip down a rabbit hole. I have a few protruding body parts as most mature adult women do. I had to laugh, how would that work on the machine where you lift weights by using your arms and push them together? At my normal gym, those babies would be corralled and not swinging to and fro! Speaking of to and fro, YIKES, what do guys do on an exercise bike or rowing apparatus? Lots of moving parts on those machines. Some important items might get squished and squashed. The retirees I know, I would NOT like to see in the buff. Those parts are a bit tarnished at this point and just don’t have the same sparkle they once enjoyed. The idea of seeing them trapped in between weights, a kettle ball (I mean bell) or something else, while funny, is just too painful.

Further into the rabbit hole; is the trainer naked too? Laying on one of those benches, would I really want to turn my head for instructions only to be met by his Jewels on display? Uhhhh, I don’t think so. Nor would it be any more appealing were it to be a female trainer. Depending on their grooming habits one would have quite a view of the terrain shall we say.

The more I thought about it, I wondered the pros and cons . . . so, I did some research and here are some interesting findings.

One side of the argument sites that the ancient Greeks favored training as well as competing in the nude. They would have a draping garment ready to don if need be. Some competitors would begin the competition with some clothes on and then discard the clothing along the way. The exercise and athletic clothing of today has lightweight material, performance blends, panels built in and moisture-wicking attributes, thus making them more pleasing to wear.

On the other side of the discussion there is agreement to some extent on clothing if, too loose or too tight, will deter from an optimal workout and may even cause injury. Choosing the best fitting items will enhance the workout.

For health reasons, working out in the buff is an open invitation for yeast and other bacterial infections. Any time there is not a barrier to another person’s bodily fluids (sweat etc) it leaves the body available for these germs. In recent years, there have been outbreaks of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and other infections in gyms. Therefore, the less direct contact with the sweat of others, the better.

What is your preferred work out gear or non gear? Are you for, against or on the fence regarding a Nude workout?

It would be great to hear your thoughts and opinions about your workout or daily fitness routine.

In closing, any workouts in my future will definitely include clothing and shoes as well as any trainers included in that choice.

Keep your eyes out for a Nude Fitness Center in your area.
