TRIFECTA

Vodka

The question was ‘How do you handle Anger and Frustration?
One answer: Angry Sex, Vodka and Video Games.

I admit it, that one really caught my attention. Thus, I had to explore the thought. Of the three, which is my go to  and is likely or readily available?

Vodka.

I would say it is my first ‘go to’ of the Trifecta. Vodka is the optimal alcoholic drink in my humble opinion. Vodka with tonic. Vodka with cranberry. Vodka with Champagne and Pomegranate, (a spectacular party drink I might add). Vodka with cranberry and Grand Marnier, (recipe for a cosmopolitan I was given recently). Okay, Vodka and pretty much anything.

A good Vodka stands on it’s own, much like a strong independent woman. Straight up or on the rocks, she’s great. Add a little something extra and she only shines brighter. Yes, Vodka is one elixir to imbibe when under stress or frustration.

Video Games.

If the games on my phone or tablet count, why yes. Those take one’s mind off the upset to some measure. Angry Birds though, not so much. Word games, puzzles, those hidden items in pictures, bubble witch or something, each game has the potential to reduce stress or frustration to a varied degree.

I believe the speaker might have been referring to the video games one plays on the large screen. They are played with hand held controllers and involve lots of shooting and mayhem. I imagine that the opportunity to annihilate as many enemies as possible while remaining injury free would be stress relieving to some extent. Conversely, if one plays too long, more stress might be induced, especially if one keeps ‘dying’ or is unable to ‘level up’ so to speak.

I have not played this type of video game. But, if you count Wii, maybe I have played a little bit. The games on my Wii are not ‘games’ per se but fitness type things. Bowling, skiing, running, boxing (now, that’s a fun one) a myriad of ‘physical’ experiences done while holding a controller and/or standing or stepping on and off a low platform. A score is shown at the end of each sequence. An award is given when a specific target is reached so in a sense, ‘leveling up’ is an option.

As to the last of the Trifecta, angry sex.

Uh, hmmm, oh my. Not having ever experienced such a thing, I can not speak to the issue. I do however like the concept. In theory, that sort of activity would most certainly relieve stress and might even wipe out all memory of why there was stress to begin with.

If all the angry frustrated people would engage in this activity, can you see or envision it? A more peaceful world.  A calm and relaxed populace, stress free and generally loving live. Just Imagine. . .

Wait, hold on, maybe the activity would be so successful at reducing and relieving stress that it might cause people to enlist others to become angry and frustrated just so that ‘angry sex’ could be the result. Oh Man.

We might be on to something here. Maybe it’s time for a study on this. . .

Any Volunteers?
